In simple terms, a rubber conveyor belt consists of four elements: a top cover, a core of fabric plies, a bottom cover and edging. The warp fabric spacer is the most important element of the belt, because it must absorb tensile forces, transfer the load (exerted by the transported material) and react appropriately to mechanical phenomena. In order to protect the fabric divider, rubber covers are placed on both sides of it. Depending on the type of fabric, it may be necessary to use additional injection molded or closed (made of rubber) edging.
